Robert Hunt has been a professional sculptor for over thirty years. His passion lies in figurative work and in particular human portraits having completed over 60 commissions during his career. Most of his work is 'in the round' but he also has a special interest in bas relief and has undertaken a number of commissions for the Royal Mint. It was his design for the new Britannia that was chosen by the Royal Mint in 2013 for its fine gold and silver collection. In both 2004 and 2013 he received the Olin-Stones Award for best relief sculpture at the Society of Portrait Sculptors' annual exhibition at The Gallery, Cork Street in London.
