Nanna Drewes Brøndum is a Danish sculptor specialising in traditional figurative sculpture and portraiture. She creates personal work and portraits on commission from her studio in Copenhagen. She studied sculpture in London, under the tutelage of Alan Sly, and has assisted the sculptor Nigel Boonham on several projects.

As part of a diverse and ever changing contemporary art scene she is dedicated to craftsmanship and the use of traditional materials. The human form and its inherent inner life is her main interest and source of inspiration. She links the traditional and the contemporary by creating a natural bond between the concrete, the abstract and the intuitive.

'In my work I search for a sculptural and timeless expression of the unspoken and private emotional conditions in and between people. A sculptural expression that creates a bond between the physical and the emotional, the seen and the unseen.'

Brøndum has exhibited her work both in Denmark and England. In connection with the sculpture Prize and the Founders' Sculpture Prize her figurative work has been exhibited in the Victoria and Albert Museum and Guildhall Art Gallery in London. Since 2006 her portrait sculpture has been shown annually in the Face exhibition in Cork Street, London.
