About
A classically trained stonemason Tim completed his apprenticeship at Wells cathedral stonemasons, Somerset in 2014 before moving his practice and workshop to East Anglia in 2017.
As an architectural stonemason he has been involved in various restoration projects on prestigious buildings including Ely Cathedral, King's college library, Cambridge, Downing college, Cambridge, amongst others.
In 2021 Tim made the decision to move his making practice in a more creative direction and attend The City and Guilds of London Art School to gain formal training in sculpture and historic stonecarving. He spent 2 years focusing his work on figurative carving and portraiture in stone.
Today, in his Fenland studio, Tim employs a variety of processes, including life casting and 3d modeling and printing to produce models that he translates into portraits in limestone and marble using traditional carving techniques.
